Hatred of: the Just for Being the Just

Justice is the recognition of the fact that you cannot fake the character of men as you cannot fake the character of nature, that you must judge all men as conscientiously as you judge inanimate objects, with the same respect for truth, with the same incorruptible vision, by as pure and as rational a process of identification—that every man must be judged for what he is and treated accordingly, that just as you do not pay a higher price for a rusty chunk of scrap than for a piece of shining metal, so you do not value a rotter above a hero—that your moral appraisal is the coin paying men for their virtues or vices, and this payment demands of you as scrupulous an honor as you bring to financial transactions—that to withhold your contempt from men’s vices is an act of moral counterfeiting, and to withhold your admiration from their virtues is an act of moral embezzlement—that to place any other concern higher than justice is to devaluate your moral currency and defraud the good in favor of the evil, since only the good can lose by a default of justice and only the evil can profit—and that the bottom of the pit at the end of that road, the act of moral bankruptcy, is to punish men for their virtues and reward them for their vices, that that is the collapse to full depravity, the Black Mass of the worship of death, the dedication of your consciousness to the destruction of existence.

The progressives have once again, resumed their advocacy of death. Their targets are none other than the people who are obstacles to their whims, and their judgement? Whoever they feel like should be executed under the banner of equality. Take a look at the recent case a false rape allegation from back in March 2006 when a stripper accused 3 lacrosse players at Duke University of raping her. A DNA testing was conducted shortly after for 46/47 team members (with 1 African player exempt because the stripper claimed the rapists were not African) and found no evidence supporting her claim. Even with no evidence, 2 members were initially arrested and with another former player arrested 2 months later. The stripper also had inconsistent story and credibility issues, the only support for arresting the victims were photographic identification of suspects.[1][2][3]. The police also intimidated the witness (including a foreign taxi driver) to produce false confessions, the supervisor in charge of the case also held grudge against the lacrosse team[4]. Not only that but there was a political motivation behind the investigation to secure African votes[5].

Not only did the victims suffered but Duke’s reputation also took a hit, the race baitors such as Jesse “racist” Jackson also used this to create more racial tension[6]. As a result of discovering the claim was false, the prosecutor was disbarred, the victims received compensation for the violation of civil rights. As for the stripper, she was charged with 14 years of incarceration while maintaining her false accusations but she had the audacity to publish a memoir claiming she really was raped and she is the victim in this whole case [7].

A less happy case of police corruption and false accusation is the conviction of Andre Hatchett, a mentally challenged man who found a dead woman in a park. The eye witness named another suspect as the killer but recanted his selection and chose Hatchett, not to mention he also smoked crack on the day, raising doubts about his testimony. Hatchett also sustained injuries (shot in the leg) at the time of the murder taken place but it was not mentioned to the trial at all. Another witness also gave false testimony to indict Hatchett. Despite all the mishandling of this case, Hatchett was convicted and spent 25 years in jail for a crime he did not do. It’s unimaginable to think that a man could be punished for a crime for longer than my age.

While the above cases could have been mistakes made in the legal proceeding, the progressives are now demanding the due process be canned. Here’s a list of such cases:

You would think this only happened in communist regimes, but the reality of it is very real. This is the progressives’ ultimate goal: to destroy anyone who doesn’t agree with them or to deny any responsibility for their actions.

The new “theory of justice” [of John Rawls] demands that men counteract the “injustice” of nature by instituting the most obscenely unthinkable injustice among men: deprive “those favored by nature” (i.e., the talented, the intelligent, the creative) of the right to the rewards they produce (i.e., the right to life)—and grant to the incompetent, the stupid, the slothful a right to the effortless enjoyment of the rewards they could not produce, could not imagine, and would not know what to do with.

Justice doesn’t just stay in the legal institution, it is part of our daily struggle. The best case to illustrate the runaway justice system is to look at one of the heroes in Atlas Shrugged- Judge Narragansett. There isn’t much background information provided for Narragansett, he was known to be a constructionist judge that adhered to reading laws literally regardless context. Narragansett was involved with Hunsacker V Mulligan in which failed entrepreneur Lee Hunsacker wanted to borrow a start up loan from Midas Mulligan, the most successful banker in the novel. Mulligan (originally named Michael but was legally changed to Midas in spite of his opponents) refused by pointing out a terrible track record that suggested Hunsacker would be a very bad investment due to his high risks.

Hunsacker felt indignant and filed a law suit against Mulligan for discrimination. Narragansett was the judge of this case and urged to support Mulligan by pointing out it is Mulligan’s right to make his own risk assessment. However, the corruption of the legal system made the Constitution of United States obsolete and caused the appeal of Hunsacker V Mulligan to repeal the first ruling (through retrial to follow the statute against discrimination). The result of the case caused Mulligan to liquidate all his assets and disappear.

Narragansett joined Galt’s Gulch and practised law by overseeing contracts and performing marriage ceremony. After the collapse of United States of America, Narragansett was seen revamping the current Constitution to remove the contradictions and adding Bill of Rights to prevent any legislation to be created to restrict free trade.

Atlas Shrugged could not be more of a prophecy than ever before. A new wave of injustice is now being created called (ironically) social justice  (which was discussed briefly in my previous posts) which shall have a more extensive discussion in my future post.

The perversion of justice in today’s world is to hatred of due process, everyone is guilty before being proved innocent. Take a look at the case of Jay Cheshire who committed suicide over an false rape allegation which the accuser dropped just a few weeks before. As for the accuser? Her name was never revealed and got no punishment for her lies. Another case of gross injustice was the Jade Hatt case who raped the child she was babysitting. The judge claimed that the 11 year old child is mature and the 21 year old babysitter was not mature, therefore she was not charged. Even more bizarrely, the father of the child also claimed that his son was “sex mad” and “fully up for the experience”. It was later found that the father also had sexual relation with the babysitter.

Just or Unjust, let the factual evidence be the judge.
